About Leamington Angling

Royal Leamington Spa Angling Association was formed in 1890 by a small group of local fishermen “for the acquisition of fishing and the preservation of fish for the benefit of members in accordance with the rules”

A lot has changed since then but this is still the main aim and purpose of the Association.

Sadly we must report the death of the President of Leamington Angling Association, Frank Cheshire. Frank was a keen angler all his life and supported Leamington Angling Association for over 30 years as a committee member and vice chairman, latterly taking on the role of President and officiating at the opening of the new bank at Ryton Pool (above).
His wisdom and historical knowledge will be sadly missed

Association President Frank Cheshire with Head Ranger Craig Earl at the opening of the newly constructed bank at Ryton Pool. This new facility for Leamington Angling members gives easy, level access from the car park for all anglers including the disabled.

  1. One of the most comfortable venues I have fished for a long time. Well done LAA committee.
